Used Medium-Duty Truck Market Experiencing Downward Trend In Inventory & Values
The new Sandhills Global market report covering October data for U.S. used medium-duty trucks—including box trucks, flatbed trucks, and cab and chassis trucks—on MDTrader.com, TruckPaper.com, and other Sandhills platforms shows inventory levels, asking values, and auction values all trending downward.
Asking values decreased by 2.42% month over month and 6.81% year over year in October, extending a 14-month-long downward trend. Auction values dipped 2.32% M/M and 8.54% YOY.
Truck Paper Manager Scott Lubischer says, “The introduction of MDTrader.com, focusing on commercial, medium, and vocational trucks, is a beneficial sales tool for many. Our percentage of inventory sold in this class is currently at 29.8% and is growing.”
