Description
This 2027 Western Star 49X pairs with a Galfab OR75 outside rail roll-off hoist to handle 18 to 22 foot containers up to 75,000 lbs. The Detroit DD13 Gen 5 12.8L engine puts out 470 HP at 1625 RPM with 1650 lb-ft of torque, backed by an Allison 4500 RDS automatic transmission built with PTO provision for hoist cycling.
On the chassis side, the 46,000 lb Meritor RT-46-160 tandem rear axle rides on Hendrickson Haulmaax EX rear suspension, with a 20,000 lb Detroit drop front axle up front on taper leaf suspension. Aluminum wheels front and rear keep weight down where it counts, and the frame carries a 263 inch wheelbase suited to roll-off container work.
The Galfab hoist comes equipped with a 48 inch steel front load toolbox, tandem axle steel fenders with tarp support, and container securement through nylon ratchets plus a Hooker push-pull system.
