Built on PACCAR's EMUX electronics architecture with the engine idle shutdown timer enabled and a typical operating speed of 68 MPH; the powertrain is calibrated for frequent start-and-stop service. Paired with an Eaton EXDP-18F118D Endurant XD Pro 18-speed automated transmission (cooler not included), a column-mounted RH-side shifter, an SPL250 Lite HT driveline with one midship bearing, and an SPL170 XL interaxle driveline for the tandem rear axles. Rear axle is a Meritor RT46-160 rated 46,000 lbs with PHP10 aluminum Preset+ hubs, Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes, Bendix Smart ATC traction control, a differential lock with speed interlock, heavy-wall axle housings, and a drive-axle lube pump. A Watson-Chalin SL2065 self-steering pusher axle rated 20,000 lbs is mounted 52" from the centerline of the forward drive axle, with PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs and cast drums, its own air tank, and an in-dash lift-axle regulator/gauge with driver-seat switch; the axle stows higher for maximum ground clearance. GAWR is rated 20,000 lbs front / 20,000 lbs first intermediate / 23,000 lbs second intermediate / 23,000 lbs rear, for an 80,000 lb GVWR and 80,000 lb GCW. Suspension

Aluminum VOC 121 BBC day cab with Metton hood and stainless steel crown and grille with tilt assist; no sleeper. Interior is Premier trim in Sterling Gray with a rubber floor, thermal insulation package, and SmartSound cab insulation package. Seating includes a Peterbilt ST air-ride, high-back driver seat in vinyl with an RH driver's armrest, and a Peterbilt ST non-adjustable, high-back passenger seat in vinyl; seats are finished in black. A toolbox is fitted under the non-suspension passenger seat with tow hook holders mounted underneath. Steering features an adjustable tilt/telescoping column with a leather-wrapped, multi-function Peterbilt-logo steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise controls. Glass includes a one-piece curved windshield, dark window tint, and a fixed one-piece glass rear cab window; power door locks and power windows are standard. Climate control is a combination fresh-air heater/air conditioner. Exterior lighting includes projector-module headlights with fender-mounted turn signals, five aero LED marker lights, incandescent square stop/turn/tail/backup lights, and two flush-mounted incandescent load lights. Finished with a textured, NFPA-compliant exterior cab entry grabhandle, rubber fender lips (4.5" wide), a fire extinguisher, triangle reflector kit, and a 107 dB back-up alarm.
Body & Equipment
Fitted with a 17'6" x 99" Heritage steel smooth-side dump body (serial
#849426) with a full cab shield narrowed 36" on both sides (10-gauge, 6" face). Sides stand 48" tall in 3/16" AR-450 steel with a front-post-only design, a 3/16" rear post, and a formed 3/16" AR-450 top rail; brackets are installed for future 8" sideboards. The floor is 1/4" AR-450 plate with 3/16" formed longsills and a formed bottom rail. The bulkhead is 3/16" AR-450, built for a trunnion-style hoist. The 54" tailgate is 3/16" AR-450 with a 6" slope, two panels with horizontal bracing, an overslung top hinge, air-operated hi-lift with heavy-duty cylinders mounted in the rear post with access panels, installed tailgate chains, air tailgate controls, three coal doors, and salt locks on each side. Hydraulics consist of a front-mounted trunnion telescopic hoist run by a hotshift PTO, a direct-mount pump with a shifter valve and feathering-valve air control, a steel hydraulic tank mounted on the side of the frame, and a control tower between the seats for body, strobe, and tarp functions with a rear-mounted pump kickout switch; the system uses a 3-line setup with shutoff valves, PTO-engaged and body-up lights in the dash, and a body-up alarm in the control tower for MassDOT compliance. The tarp system is an Aero electric arm flip tarp in mesh material. Additional body equipment includes a front driver's-side ladder with one step below the bottom rail, a driver's-side front step, 30" Heritage front mud flaps with anti-sail brackets, rear Heritage mud flaps on hooks/straps with chains, a driver's-side shovel holder, a 3" weld-on rear apron with side push plates, round combo rear chassis lights with an ID cluster on the hinge, a 1" pintle plate with a 30-ton, 28"-height hitch and 7-prong HD plug, an installed body prop, and an installed back-up alarm. Body lighting is a full LED package with combo stop/turn/tail lights in the rear post and strobes mounted two in front of the cab shield and one in each rear post. The body is sandblasted, primed, and painted one standard color; cab, hood, and body are finished to match in red.
