Overview

Engine & Drivetrain
Powered by a Cummins X15 Performance Series engine rated 485 HP, governed at 2,000 RPM, with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,150 RPM, built to 2017 emissions standards. Paired with an Eaton FO18E313A-MHP UltraShift Plus automated transmission with an oil-to-water cooler, an SPL250 Lite HT driveline with a midship bearing, and an SPL170 XL interaxle driveline for the tandem rear axles. Column-mounted shifter on the RH side, with low-speed maneuverability calibration (drive-creep, reverse-blended pedal) and aggressive Eaton shift calibration. Equipped with an engine compression brake (Intebrake), a naturally aspirated 37.4 CFM air compressor, a 2-speed fan clutch, and a PACCAR 160-amp alternator. Cold-weather equipment includes an immersion-type block heater, fuel heater, and 12V fuel filter heat. Three PACCAR premium 12V batteries (2,190 CCA) with a Kissling battery disconnect switch. Single 100-gallon aluminum fuel tank mounted LH behind the cab (no RH fuel tank fitted), with a fuel cooler and polished fuel/hydraulic tank straps; a small DEF tank is mounted RH BOC with a polished stainless steel cover. A 12-pin remote PTO/throttle control provision is located in the engine bay. Factory-set engine parameters include a 68 mph standard road speed and cruise speed limit, PTO speed capped at 1,400 RPM, engine protection shutdown enabled, gear-down protection disabled, and idle shutdown with parking brake engagement on a 5-minute timer.
Chassis & Axles
Front axle is a PACCAR steer axle rated 20,000 lbs with a 4" drop, taper leaf springs, dual TRW TAS85 power steering with a frame-mounted, cooled reservoir, and Bendix air cam front drum brakes (16.5x6). Rear axle is a Meritor RT46-164E rated 46,000 lbs (5/8" wall) with a 3.91 ratio, paired with a Watson-Chalin SL2065 self-steering pusher axle rated 20,000 lbs (51" spacing from the forward drive axle centerline). Additional equipment includes Bendix Smart ATC traction control, a differential lock on the rear-rear axle with speed interlock, ABS (6S6M), synthetic axle lubricant throughout, and Bendix air cam rear drum brakes (16.5x7). GAWR is rated 20,000 lbs front / 23,000 lbs rear, with an 80,000 lb GVWR and GCW. Wheelbase measures 245" (90.10" FAX/BOC, 154.90" cab/axle, 214.90" cab/EOF). Frame consists of 10-3/4" steel rails at 3/8" thickness with a full steel inner liner, heavy-duty iron front spring brackets, and aluminum frame rail crossmembers. Maximum grade rating is 6%. Suspension
Peterbilt Air Trac rear suspension rated 46,000 lbs with a 52" spread, air springs with internal bumpers, a single leveling valve on the forward drive axle, and a dash-mounted dump switch with a suspension indicator light.
Cab & Interior
Aluminum day cab with a Metton hood, stainless steel crown and grille, and tilt assist. Prestige interior finished in Sterling Gray. Peterbilt HP driver seat on a wide mounting base (UltraRide) with air ride, high-back, and Mordura trim; non-adjustable ST passenger seat, also high-back Mordura. RH driver's armrest, black seat color, and a toolbox with tow hook holders under the passenger seat. Tilt/telescoping steering column with a Peterbilt logo wheel. One-piece curved windshield, power door locks and windows, and a combo fresh air heater/AC. Motorized, heated aero mirrors with integrated convex lenses plus a look-down mirror over the passenger door. ConcertClass radio with Bluetooth, AM/FM, USB, and MP3, plus CB wiring and antenna provisions. Cab air suspension, thermal insulation package, SmartLINQ remote diagnostics, and auto reset circuit protection. Instrumentation includes a main driver information display along with dedicated gauges for transmission oil temp, engine oil temp, air suspension pressure, manifold pressure, and pusher axle pressure. Exterior lighting includes projector-module headlights, fender-mounted turn signals, aero LED marker lights, LED stop/turn/tail/backup lighting, and incandescent load lights. Roof-mounted round air horns, a removable bugscreen, and a backup alarm (107 dB) are also equipped.

Front tires are 315/80R22.5, 20-ply, on Alcoa 22.5x9.00 clean-buff aluminum wheels. Rear tires are 11R24.5, 16-ply (8 total), on Alcoa 24.5x8.25 clean-buff aluminum wheels rated for severe service. The self-steering pusher axle carries a matching pair of 315/80R22.5 tires on clean-buff aluminum wheels. Polished wheel finish is applied across the front, tandem drive, and pusher positions.
