Up for sale is a clean great running 1990 AM General 5 ton M928A2 dump truck with Winch and a hard top . It is showing ONLY 13739 miles! Plenty of life left in this very clean truck. We have installed a Rowe17 foot dump bed with pto, 5 stage dump cylinder, Pto shift tower, Air tailgate that can be operated inside the cab. The bed it self is 17 feet long with 44" sides with slots to install side boards on top. It is about a 17 yard bed. Air operated tail gate. It has 48,000 lbs rears axles spring and 20,000 front axle springs, with a double frame, very stout truck. Pay load of 15-20 tons. It has the 8.3 turbo 250 hp 6 cylinder Cummins in it which runs great. Behind that is an Allison 5 speed automatic backed by an air shift 2 speed transfer case. All functions like heat and lights operate fine. The paint is a new!, interior is in good shape, the 14.00R 20 Super-singles tires average around 80% tread. The 6 wheel drive works as it should also. I have used these dump trucks in the past and they are very handy and strong. It has a Garwood 20000lbs Hydraulic driven winch on the front that works as it should This was an ex cargo truck that we converted to dump, it has the heavy double frame making it perfect for a dump truck. This is a better setup than the stock military ones that are only 10' long. The 5 stage hoist goes up high to make a nice steep dump angle so the cargo comes out. 6 wheel drive makes these a perfect truck for that soft or muddy job.
